Taliban Kidnap Swiss Tourists in Pakistan

Pakistani Taliban have stated to have kidnapped two Swiss tourists; Daniela Yvonni and Oliver David last month. Images of their passports were released to Al Arabiya showing the cover and pages of the passport.

The stamps in the hostages passports show that they have received visas and entry stamps from several countries including Iran, Indonesia, India, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Singapore and Turkey.

According to a source in the Taliban movement, the kidnapped tourists were working for a western security agency and are masters self-defense techniques.

Moreover, Al Arabiya learned that the Taliban and Al Qaeda are collaborating on this case and that the Taliban will soon broadcast a video of the Swiss tourists. It is reported that the two tourists were kidnapped in Balochistan province in Pakistan, and were transferred later to the South Waziristan.

The Taliban movement said that they will exchange the Swiss tourists in exchange for a Pakistani Dr. Aafia Siddiqui who is serving an 86 year-sentence in the U.S on charges of affiliation to al Qaeda and attempting to kill a U.S. soldier in Afghanistan.
