As there's no Atheist Experience on Sun 3 Oct, you make like to watch this instead. For those of you who have been clamoring to hear this lecture, here it is, as Matt presented it most recently in the afternoon before the Bat Cruise.

  • Is that a Star Trek hat? Seriously though, love the lecture!

  • 10:12 “If you agree on a standard you can make an objective assessment; the standard itself may be subjective also.”

So, if we agree, it makes it right for us? Ok.What about the other guy who disagrees with our assessment? What do we do with him? Do we act as an external authority over him(if at the end he doesn’t comply)? If so, what is the difference with God who at the end imposes Himself onthose who don’t comply with His “assessments”?Aren’t we doing the same thing?Or did I miss something?

  • There are two kinds of parents: There's the "Because I said so.." type and the "Do as I say not as I do.." type. I had one of each. :/

  • what do christians do in countries where they are minorty and not all people belive like they do? they make riots, and go burn holy places of other religions. in japan only reason why jetsuits got any one to support them aws to give them guns. and then you made them do war with others in order to force otheres to belive like them. that is one of the reason why japan that had in that time religius freedome had to make catholisim iligal, bechose christians whuld kill others.

  • @freetheworldof The fact that we atheists exist is blasphemy. :)
