Jeremy Rifkin on Daimler's move into a Third Industrial Revolution.
On September 12th, on the eve of the opening press day of the International Auto Show, after this opening video by Jeremy Rifkin, Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of Daimler AG and head of Mercedez Benz cars, showed the world that Daimler will lead the way into the Third Industrial Revolution by unveiling its F125 hydrogen fuel-cell car.
I don't get how we're all supposed to move to this Hydrogen highway of the future. Barely any of us will be able to afford that kind of technology unless it's backed by the government in the form of tax breaks or subsidies.
Governments around the world are basically in debt up to their necks and they can't even afford road repair and maintenance, public schooling and health care etc.
It's a great idea, but it seems to be way too late in the game for a grid conversion.
