Ring Penetration off of rope

The magician shows a ring on the middle of a rope. He claims he can make the ring penetrate the rope, but to make it a little harder, he well also make the rope penetrate his own finger. He then ties the rope throught the ring and around his finger, binding them to one another. Allowing the spectator to hold the ends of the rope, the magician yanks the ring vertically, it snaps off the rope and his finger is left undamaged. (this is a good follow up for the last trick)
