[Madison, Wisc...] Liberals have been citing a study from Lawrence University to predict disastrous environmental consequences to a mine in northern Wisconsin, despite the fact that there was unregulated mining in that region for a hundred years. Senator Tim Cullen stated that the mine would create a river of sulfuric Acid that would flow through the Bad River Indian Reservation. Gogebic Taconite's chief engineer explained at a public hearing on Wednesday how most of the information, which the Lawrence study is based on, is inaccurate.
