  • @ShiaMisha Actually, unlike Canada where PST/GST are only added while checking out, taxes in Taiwan are included in the prices already... So there is tax, you just didn't realize you're paying it... xD Oh! And you can play lottery with those receipts!

  • They've got to be competitive...Taiwan ranks the 2nd in terms of the average density of convenient stores in a km square.

  • they even give you gifts such as small toys occasionally, and if u purchase over $2.50 CAD, they give u a draw of discount. once i bought a bento, drink and candy, which cost around $2.50 (already very cheap), i got discounted by over a dollar canadian. it's like u can eat stuff just by searching for coins on the floor!

  • a hog dog costs about $0.88 CAD, normal can of Coca Cola about $0.55 CAD, and hot foods such as spaghetti or rice bento cost less than $2 CAD, and they are really good! No TAX as well

  • I think Taiwan should someday host an "International Junk Food Exhibition".

  • OMG THE TEA EGGS FROM 7-11 and those yu fon duon ( japanese triangular rice balls) !!!

  • 32 NT $ = 1 US $

  • The last time I was there costs were about equal with what you would pay in the U.S. I miss the smell of Tea eggs!

  • how expensive is their junk food? Taiwanese Pringles can't be cheap.
