@rozeboosje very very good news about you !! started yesterday my first "love affair" with Cypralex (Lexapro). what were your problems ? Mines are social anxiety, isolation and lack of motivation in Life. I know those medications push us to find solutions... understood your message. Sexually we can become dysfunctional taking this drug ? I started with 5mg/day. Good you doing well, men !!

@LesPaul2006 No. I finished using Lexapro in 2008.
The fact that I've been less assertive lately has been an indicator that I'm suffering from depression, too. I think it's gotten worse over the last several weeks. I have little motivation and I'm highly sensitive to little stuff right now. Do you still recommend Lexapro?

@herrrob14 if that is a recent development and you can identify clear reasons for your mood then it may be a good idea to run the option of taking a drug like this by your doctor. It can give you that little lift you need to tackle your problems but do have yourself assessed by a qualified medical professional, please.

I notice that in the 6:40 minute mark you say that leaving the drugs is something you "con now see happening". Couldn't you see it happening before?

@LesPaul2006 It's more like at the start of the process the end of it was something that might happen at some indefinite point in the future, and I had no idea how long it might take. By this point, 2 months in, I could see the light at the end of the tunnel.

rozeboosje, how you feel now ? All healed ?

@asderso Yes, but only after identifying and tackling the underlying problem. Lexapro helped me with the motivation to do that, but it didn't amount to a cure on its own.
