Mr. Obama is clearly blinded by political ambition given his attack on me this week. All I asked of him was to do the right thing: support medical care and protection for babies who survive abortion as I did 31 years ago. He voted against such protection and care four times even though the U.S. Senate voted 98-0 in favor of a bill identical to the one Obama opposed. In the words of his own false and misleading ad, his position is downright vile. Mr. Obama said at the recent Saddleback Forum that the question of when babies should get human rights was above his pay grade. Such vacillation and cowardice in public policy almost left me to die and no one should have to go through what I went through.

She is a courageous abortion survivor and living miracle who would not be with us today if Obama's policies had been in place when she was born. @attirantmonsmusic Which would you rather be: Unwanted by your parents, but alive, or unwanted by your parents, and dead? What makes you think that only kids who are wanted by their parents at birth are worthy of life? Right now, the state protects the parents' right to kill the child before birth, but prosecutes the parent for murder if they kill the child after it's born. Wonder why women like Casey Anthony can get away with causing the death of her infant, and get away with it? This is why.

You are not correct, it is you who needs a basic education in biology. After an chicken's egg has been fertilized and a blastoderm is formed, it still goes through an incubation period of 21 days, but is for all intents and purposes still referred to as an egg though this egg has an embryo is developing inside of it, but we do not refer to it as a chicken, unless we're to assign a species name. 2ndly the mere formation of a zygote is not a qualifier for having "rights".

@alfasw1ft2 You have put an egg and a fetus in the same category, which I take to mean that you think they are at the same point in the cycle of reproduction. Clearly, this is a hard concept to understand, because a fetus is not the same as a chicken's egg. A chicken's egg has not been fertilised. We also have a human equivalent, a human egg, which is ALSO unfertilised. Then there is a human fetus. A human fetus HAS BEEN fertilized. Please learn basic biology facts before commenting.

"life is life". Yeah but what kind of life? We step on insects and eliminate pets like rodents all the time. We consume animals for meat with higher order intelligence and cognitive functions all the time. A fetus has no inherent "value" in human society. It only has "potential" to become a human being and you cannot claim that the elimination of the potential to become a fully conscious, sentient, sapient human being is "murder", especially during the early stages of development
