This is a basic formula for generating a random number using 'Excel' - specifically between 1- 500.
Also in this example I have recorded the actual current date and time to prove this is a REALTIME generation of random numbers, and has not been edited.
This is a suitable method to present real proof of a randomly selected number for the purpose of an online Lottery or Raffle. To generate a smaller number just change the ratio in the formula..
ie: 1;49 for the National Lottery for example.

How can I figure how many 4 number combinations are possible for just 7 numbers. For example. 1234,1235,1236,1237,1245,1246,­1247,etc.

It's a simple 'excel' formula used to generate a random number within the range you decide.. Dude !

@Tubetheweb These are 'just' pseudo-random numbers, any computer is capable of creating them. If you're in need for random numbers, go to random . org, it gives as much truly random numbers, as you want!
