  • That's the worst way of putting a clamp on that i've ever seen. The clamp should be placed on the spindle and tightened before the platter is spun. You can't hope to clamp the record to the platter by doing it that way and if the clamp isn't done up properly then it sounds nothing like it should. You're better off not having the clamp on at all.
