[Watch in HD]

Here are some scenes from good ole' downtown Paducah, Kentucky. This is my first daytime video with my new Canon HF11. This very windy and overcast day made a perfect test environment for low light outdoor performance. The contrast is a bit weak, but I can easily fix it. Any comments/feedback are welcome. Excuse the shakiness of the video since it was done free hand. Enjoy.

**Note** I am still experimenting with the camcorder, I set the exposure a little too low so in turn it created a slightly snowy picture. Please excuse that as well.

Camera: Canon HF11
Settings: 1080p 60i
Edited in: Sony Vegas 9.0 Platinum

  • Nice Max!! Looks great!! Awesome picture!! Thanks for showing me around time!

  • Thanks Turner. Downtown Paducah has a lot of history in it. This video only showed a very small part of it.

  • Nice camera quality, Max.

haha, you're better than me at using Vegas, I suck at it. lol

  • Thanks, it was well worth it.

If you watch my video of "Help TheRecorder on YouTube" or something like that, I used Sony Vegas. I am getting pretty good at it haha.

  • Nice. Looks like you've got the rendering settings from Vegas Studio working well. Looking forward to that first train video with your new cammy.

  • Thanks. It's working pretty well.

  • Glad to help. I have been real impressed by the canon line of HD camcorders so far. This one has suited my needs perfectly.

That's cool also. Paducah's a nice mid-size city to live in. Well developed and still growing slowly.

  • Thanks. It's a nice upgrade.

  • awesome quality 5*

  • Look up "Carson Center" on the internet. It's basically a performing arts building. One of the best looking buildings downtown.
