I did notice that he was nowhere to be seen at the most recent Golden Melody awards. Anyone know what's up with that?

In fact, he is probably one of the hardest working artist ever. He does everything himself and is always re-inventing his music. Most other artist just performs the songs.

Totally agree. Not only is he amazingly talented but you can truly see his passion and high expectation for his music in all his interviews or appearances. There is not too many artist that you see that in.

Um, Leehom was certainly NOT a nobody in the U.S. He was very highly accomplished, had lots of friends, and was well-known and well-regarded in his hometown and at uni.
He wasn't a mega-celebrity at that time, sure, but that didn't make him a nobody.
Also, Leehom always talks about how little discrimination he experienced growing up, and how at ease he felt growing up in the U.S.
Leehom likes baseball and superheroes and turkey at Thanksgiving. He's proud to be Taiwanese-AMERICAN.
