bunky is a faggot
-
^Can you blame him?

I'm completely agree Ollie was pissed when he said those things. With Bunky it was premeditated he said it very smoothly. He could have got his point across saying the letter N. Bunky knew he could get away with saying this because Ollie doesn't have a lot of fan support.
-
He obviously didn't want to! I wouldn't either! They guy had it coming!

-Bunky you rock, it is time to call out ignornance (whether it is through racism or homophobic behaviour) and create some awareness. In my opinion, Ollie is a very ignorant and hypocritical individual. I don't think that you can truly consider yourself a good christian if you are screwing everything around you in a skirt. As someone else said, if I were his parents I would be ashamed of him for having sex with a nasty whore multiple times on t.v. Ollie- get some self-restraint and self-respect!
-
I still feel it could have been handled differently.
-
I agree--he was trying to get the message across the best way he felt possible. I guess they're both just very sensitive issues.
-
Bunky was obviously offended by the comment and wanted Ollie to feel the way he and others did when he said "Faggot."
I'm not saying he's right, but he obviously got the message across judging by Ollie's response and expressions.

I wouldn't call it research by any means, but what I've found so far on google, mainly talks about how it came to apply to gays as we know it today and the usage of the word in the gay community. So my search continues.

I was very disappointed by Ollie's use of the F-word. I wasn't a fan, but it really made me look at him a lot differently.
Though I love Bunky dearly, I found the "cotton-picking n-gg-r" statement a tad inappropriate. I understand what he was trying to say, but I believe it could have been worded differently.
Thank you Bunky... for asking him the tough questions and putting him on the spot like that.
It disgusts me how Ollie kept playing it off, saying 'it was just frustration', and '*IF* I offended someone...'.
It's so sad that some people will NEVER change. It's even more sad that someone who has probably experienced prejudice and hate can then spew prejudice and hate on others.
And yes, the word 'faggot' is just as vile and filled with hate, as the word 'nigger'.

I was never a fan of Bunky but I have to give him props for having the balls to call out the houseguests when everyone else tiptoes around things.
