Very astute observation. However, sufferers of AMD do have some vision, it's just not that great. So while someone with AMD may still be able to read a newspaper, or may still be able to see his or her granddaughter playing in the driveway, it's just much more difficult. I appreciate you watching and commenting on this video. Thanks!

Glad you corrected those earlier comments. Suffered with AMD can see around the lesion and compensate by tilting their heads etc. Great job and hit an emotional chord with all.

but this person is reading the newspaper, and we are supposed to see what he sees, which is the daughter, but we can't. Therefore, this particular person can't see the newspaper either, so he shouldn't be reading it at all.

Just like age, there's no cure for it, everyone gets it, but in most cases we can keep it to a minimum with very little effort, if we just take the time to educate ourselves.
