He and the Beastie Boys are true inspirations for me. They created an amazing consciousness expanding, kick-ass concert series. I attended the first one in San Fran, in Golden Gate State Park, when I was 21 on a cross-country road trip with 2 friends. This Festival is what inspired my Project Venture Philanthropy idea. For those that like 90s Indie Rock- this line-up was fucking incredible! They combined great music for the ticket price and helped raise the awareness of Tibet's plight for many of my generation. They were instrumental in the international creation of Students for a free Tibet as well. My sister was 13 at the time and I told her all about it and when she went to college 5 years later she ended up being highly involved in the organization. I also took her two of the shows- one in Washington, the other NY.
