  • @YJPY your right, welfare was revised so that the recipients go out an look for work. Their sent on interviews, the have to rpeport back to the welfare office before and after. If they dont report in or go to/on the interview they are cut off.

  • where is this at??

  • rest in peace brother. i will never forget ur love martin. never til the day i die. rest in peace. my heart is to u... ="(

  • poor person, May god let him live in heaven for the good things he did even though he's not a muslim

  • @macdogq first of all, encourage is spelled with an "e" not an "i". Secondly, in this economy whether you are able to be employed does not mean you can easily be employed. In case you haven't noticed, jobs aren't too easy to come by these days. People on welfare need those checks to survive while they look for jobs. There have been numerous reports that show well over 70% of welfare recipients are looking for work or simply do not have a stable job.

  • @YJPY Welfare does incourage people not to be self reliance, and keeps them relying on government on the backs of taxpayers when most of them are able to be employed.

  • @macdogq lol welfare doesn't encourage people to be lazy lol. Living on welfare sucks, if you think all welfare recipients are buying flat screen tvs and mustangs, you're wrong. the most they can afford is food, water, clothing, and MAYBE a below average home. the purpose of it is to keep people from starving to death because they would not be able to afford anything otherwise.

  • where is this at i never saw this

  • MLK did not fight for these folks to have welfare, or gov't assistance, or socialize health. MLK fought for oppitunity, and justice for ALL, not just for the blacks, it is for EVERYONE!! God knows who is taking advantage of gov't assistance when they have equal oppitunities. Most of these folks are on some sort of assistance when they should be working, and providing for their children like the rest of us.

  • I been there... it is very interesting and historic!
