Dutch troops in Uruzgan

Most of the Dutch troops in Afghanistan are stationed in Uruzgan. Taliban and their allied militants stepped up attacks and in June 2008, launched a major offensive. The footage gives a rare and unique impression of the region and the Dutch army. President Hamid Karzai made a two-day state visit earlier this year to the Netherlands to acknowledge the courage and bravery of the Dutch army in Afghanistan. I would like to personally thank the Dutch army, especially Sjoerd Hickmann, for making my stay in Uruzgan an unforgettable experience and contributing to the video.
