The Sewell 1x2 HDMI Splitter (SW-23500) simultaneously powers 2 displays. One display is 50 feet away (with a SW-13205 HDMI cable) and the other one is 100 feet away (over 2 SW-13205's). http://sewelldirect.com/Sewell-HDMI-1x2-Splitter-v13b.asp

  • @muziqaz Then it is possible that there is something wrong with the splitter. The splitter will take the information from the two outputs (display and capture card) and build a composite EDID based on the capability of the two. It then feeds that composite back to the source (PS3) and your PlayStation should send a compatible signal. I'd recommend setting up a return so that we can test the splitter.

  • @sewelldirect my capture card supports hdcp as it works fine without the splitter.

  • @muziqaz The splitter does support HDCP, but it sounds like your capture card does not (which is common). I would suggest asking the manufacturer of your capture card if they have information about how to use it to capture gameplay.

  • @sewelldirect nope, this splitter won't handle HDCP. Second screen(TV/capture card) will just flash showing HDCP and that's it. I have same splitter, and my capture card is flashing on and off with HDCP message in the middle of the screen. I already spent 200 quid in order to capture some ps3 gameplay, and I am yet to succeed :D

  • i have this. i use it to capture gameplay with my ps3. works well.

  • @sewelldirect I just received mine in the mail, and is it ok to not have the AC power cord plugged in because it's working perfectly fine without it

  • @ZeroEffortVideos I would need a little more information to give you any indepth troubleshooting advice. My recommendation would be to give our technical support department a call.

  • So I just got the new HDMI splitter for my Ps3 and and capture card. But every time I plug it in. It just flashes a red light and goes off. What do I need to do about this?
