@vlekhaak67 not really, it is more of a time consuming task to make this stuff and also money is big role aswell for buying all the wood.

@MrMeanderthal i myself prefer something useful to something beautiful. but this, this is something that you just cant call useless. it is a wonderful artwork revealing beauty of wood carving, and at least he can sell them to people who like beautiful things. So useless? No, I don't think so.

@MrMe....."colossal waste of time"?? As an experienced woodcarver, the man's work is nothing but miraculous. This work isn't useless, he has built unique tables, chairs, boats, a bed....carve a chair that looks like a chair and then get back to us.

I love woodworking but things I make have to be useful and have a purpose.. every time I see something like a shelf full of carved "faux" books, or a chair with a carved jacket on it I just think.. what a colossal waste of time.
