Thanks a lot, appreciated! Will try to contact them I make my trip... Thx!

4x but we could have done with stronger, difficult to get in the smaller sizes
-
I have gone through the book " Maneaters of Kumanon" by Jim Corbett in which it appears as if he was really obsessed by this fish that he mentioned as " Fish of my dreams"
-
"To strong for me hooks..." ?? Hey mate, did you upgrade them from the stock ones? And you'd do better swapping them out to larger single hooks. Much much stronger ;)

What a nice fishing adventure you have there for these Himalayan Mahseer.
Do you mind to share where is this location and which local opperator you hire?
I am very interested to try this fishing.

Its on the Kali river system, can highly recommend the himalayan outback for guides and logistics.

All hooks were upgraded to 4x but still got crushed, i like the idea off strong singles they could work, just got to be careful not to upset the action of the lures, would need testing

I agree they are addictive to fish for, its a combination of great scenery, wild rivers, culture, beautiful fish and a great fight.

In almost any other place in weestern Europe or N America anglers would regard that means of reatining a fish as cruel - can the posters explain what happened to these fish after the photos ?

Its actually the opposite to what you think, the stringers allow you to make sure the fish are well recovered before releasing them back into the fast flow of the himalayan rivers. A couple of the big mahseer 40lb + which gave their all in a fight, were rested this way for upto an hour before we were happy to release them safe and well.
