Chakram making 101

This is my dad handmaking a chakram for me. He had made a pair for the Axel in my cosplay group and had enough wood left to make one more. Those edges and points can really cut! It's amazing how much work and detail he puts into it. If you have any complaints about how he does this, shove them way up your ass. Thank you

Okay, people. I want to make one thing perfectly clear:

***YOU DON'T HAVE TO WATCH THIS VIDEO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO! ***

Nobody is holding a gun to your head, forcing you to watch it. So I don't want anymore of these idiotic comments. If you want some advice or have a legitimate question or have something nice to say, go for it. Also, these were made way back when KH was a new thing. I was still a teenager and in high school and nothing beyond KH2 had come out yet. I don't care how well-versed you are in the fanbase, I don't want to hear it.

That being said, I welcome costume creation questions and any polite comment.

Just one question, how much force does it take to break those, as I know that wood sometimes isn't very strong

@jangofett287 It's pretty strong but I certainly don't go around banging it into walls and other weapons. It's like any piece of woodworking; just take care of it and use common sense.

Hi, I'm cosplaying as Axel soon and I have to make the chakrams myself (my mom won't help me) any advice?

@ldavidtennantfan They are VERY difficult to make out of wood and require a LOT of skill. If you don't work with wood very much, stick to foam. It's much less expensive and making a mistake won't cost you a hand. (lol! But srsly, we're talking power tools here.) Also, ALWAYS make a pattern first and NEVER just free-hand it. Geometry is your friend.

LOVE IT. Just the proportions are way off haha. Its not actually that big. Only about 28, or 29 inches across at the widest point.
