From the Governor's Ball following the 2004 Oscars, some bits about "Lord of the Rings" making history, yadda yadda, but the best part is at the end.

  • As far as I know Ian McKellen is not gay, it was a joke ppl jeez!

I agree with Drawinglegend, no one could ever play Gandalf as well as McKellen.

  • Ian McKellan is most definitely gay - he would tell you so himself. Doesn't change the fact that he's a brilliant actor and an amazing man. :)

  • The Oscars weren't just awarding Return of the King that night. They awarded Oscars to the entire LOTR trilogy as one movie that night. Bravo!

  • The climatic and final battles were the greatest apocalyptic scenes ever!

  • @AmeliaKaderD As well they shouldn't be. No need to desecrate the book and story. Sir Ian McKellen will be there as well as Andy Serkis. No frowns.

  • @AmeliaKaderD elijah is in the movie xD

  • I would like to see the Hobbit and whoever plays Bilbo gets an oscar for best actor because that's one nomination that has eluded the trilogy. If they get an oscar for an acting role, it would truely be the greatest film franchise PERIOD

  • I said to the best of my knowledge, meaning that I wasn't making any assumptions one way or the other. However, my point was that what he said in this vid was a joke.

  • God, I love them <3

  • "It's finally Dom't big night"

    "I dunno what you mean"

    LOL! hobbits <3

  • I'm glad there's going to be another movie!! (The Hobbit)...though it's kinda sad that Elijah and the other 3 hobbits won't be in it :(

Because it's basically about Bilbo and I saw the details of the movie..and the 4 hobbits aren't on the cast list. :(

  • actor gay yes

gandalf character gay no...so theoretically *shrug* can get away with it...but yeah best dodge!
