VIEW IN HIGH DEFINITION

I don't just play Medieval Total War 2! I am an avid fan of the entire series - me and my buddy 'The Palms' thought it suitable to make a video of a spirited skirmish between the redcoats and the yankees to celebrate the fourth of July! A spur of the moment video done with very little planning and some hasty in-game coordination. Our tactics were horrid, and nearly non existent - although things did get dicey for the Americans towards the end. Please enjoy, and happy 4th!

Music: 1812 Overture performed by the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra.

Yankees: TheDougem (me)
Redcoats: The Palms

  • Can someone tell me how big this game is, Does it only work for some PC's or what?

  • @papadoc711 Sorry for the long response time.

An average gaming rig today should be able to handle this game. It's a bit clunky, and if you have anything slower then a core 2 duo at2.6 ghz you may have trouble. Expect bugs, but not game crippling ones.

  • At 4:17 this battle is a set up read it and you can see why

  • @Hitman250611 Of course it's a setup, that was the whole point :D

We were aiming for just outright silliness as opposed to an actual battle, and this was recorded prior to me really having any meaningful recording experience. I've come a long way since then.

And it never fails to amuse me that this remains my most popular video pairing.

  • i loved the stale mate at the begining, no one willing to move forward to attack :D

  • dramatic effect for the win.

Totally unscripted movie. The music was playing in the background as recording was taking place =)

  • @mjr0292 Not necessarily. This game is a lot more work for a system, owing to the engine and how graphically intensive it is compared to medieval 2 - HOWEVER. if you can run MTW 2 at 30FPS or higher consistently, that should get you off to a great start.

  • wat if britain and the americans went to war total chaos

  • the 1812 Overture should be a standart part of the music to emprie: total war or even more fitting; napoleon: total war.

  • lol at 7.21

  • Ive got the game, very nice. Ive won a few online fight.. mainly due to their lack of skill. But i still consider myself a noob :p
