Tor is free software and an open network that helps you defend against a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security known as traffic analysis. All things can be used for good or evil- you might hit someone with a Bible, does that make the Bible wrong? Not at all. Kingfrog has it right. TOR is not designed for high speeds, you screw it up for everyone by running torrents through it (not to mention it will be slower than a snail). How'bout just try TORVPN? It's a fast VPN by default, and you can enable transparent TOR proxying whenever you need it (without having to install the TOR client on your computer - or any other software).
