ummm no it's not by the same director, the road home is by zhang yimou which i am a great fan of, he didd'nt direct this, it is a very good move though

The Road Home is also nice and picturesque. I noticed that Chinese Dramatic Movies are more of devicing introverted thoughts and narration. If the movies you've mentioned are of the same director, I must praise him for his ability to combine dramatic acting with beautiful scenery.

I really would like to see this film! It's out on DVD (UK) titled TRAIN. At the moment, I'm torn between "Sunflower", "The Road Home" and this film, "Train"...all by the same director! I don't know which one to see first!! But I think Train looks like it's going to be more of my type of film as it looks arty!
