Whew! Tense moments. And to make the illegal pet trade even sadder, the mother apes are often killed in order to get the infants. Then as the babies grow, the apes do not make good pets at all. They end up chained, discarded, malnourished, etc.

It infuriates me this is happening all over. Thank you so much for doing this for the chimps and for us!
