Unsteady Calm Following Settler Violence Against Palestinian Residents in Hebron

We take a look at the troubled West Bank city of Hebron, where the city’s Palestinian residents have been at the receiving end of a new wave of attacks from hard-line Jewish settlers. Violence flared last week after Israeli riot police forcibly evicted some 250 settlers from a disputed Palestinian-owned home that the settlers had occupied last year. Tensions have been high ever since an Israeli High Court ruling last month that ordered the settlers to vacate the building. We go to Hebron to get the latest. [includes rush transcript]

  • Thank you for the post. I am glad to see what is happening to the broadcast media technology. Glad to see you are able to do the broadcast from Hebron. This is critical to give voice to those people.

  • Israel has become what they are supposedly fighting against - racism and fascism.

  • Bullshit, Palestinian propaganda. Each and every single one of them must die.

  • Please come and vote up my video criticizing Christian fundamentalist involvement in the Middle East crisis.

  • israeli "settlers" and the soldiers (terrorists) who protect them... = NAZIS

  • shoot all settlers who refuse to leave the illegally occupied PALESTINIAN land in the head and then burn the rest alive.

    fuck israel! = #1 terrorist

  • Dear Massai86, I appreciate your thoughtful reply. I get pretty "agit"ated myself sometimes. One of the problems as I see it is that standards are important and they are slipping whether its in education, our civil discourse or with sincing audio and video. No one appreciates what IWantDemocracyNow is doing for us more than myself but I want it to be effective. I'm willing to wade through the bad sinc but it's those who need to hear most that may not.I try to do my part at VideoNewsService.

  • you know what, sorry mate because i just red myself again and that kid shouldn't be there, i overreacted and for that i´m sorry.

Now that i read you i´m glad you see it that way, i´m glad you do catch the content, and yup, makes me sad knowing there is ppl like you just said, who get turned off because of some really standard issue and not so relevant when you compare it with the information.

Oh about being vulgar, it seems it only hurts you, but thanks for pointing it out.

  • I am hardly a kid and the "tech issue" matters. I agree that the content matters most but for many people having audio and video in sinc is a turn-off and they will miss the content. It may not matter to a vulgar person like yourself but to others it does.

  • that's right mate, who would've thought? a live feed truth transmission from Hebron.... something feels right :)

  • calm down kid, go back to direct tv or some shit if you will cry like this for some tech issues, it's the content what matters not the wrapping....
