No private insurance companies to haggle with, no forms to fill out, no bills to pay, no co-pays, no nothing.

Just show your health card and you're in.

  • With my previous family doctor I did not even have to show my medical card since the receptionist already new me and my family. So we just wait around 20 minutes and that's it!

I now live in a different province but have not visited a doctor yet so I don't know what is it going to be like here.

  • @mahalcat No

  • @kubrickrules Is this the Royal Alexandra Hospital?

  • is it required for them to ask if your still living at the same address listed on your medical card?

  • And anyone in Canada, EVERYONE, the richest or the poorest can see a physician with no out of pocket cost. In the US 1 in 3 people can't even afford to see a physician and have third world health care.
