I don't think one version has to be better than the other. They are both amazing. If you are a Jack White fan, you should see the beautiful irony in the fact that a song he wrote is considered by many to be "made for bluegrass." Makes sense given his diverse interests and talents. Best part of this remake for me - the use of the falsetto voice a la Jack. So glad to have found the Punch Brothers via the White Stripes!

dont get me wrong, because i love the punch brothers and bluegrass, but this cover could never touch the raw energy in the original. this cover is still amazing though. everyone in this band is so talented.
