Here, Chenyu demonstrates some of the Chen Taijiquan 74 form, also known to Chen village residents as "laojia" (meaning old frame). This is actually the style of Chen Zhaopi, who was the resident instructor in Chen village until the return of Chen Zhaokui in the 1970's. Chen Zhaokui's style was new to village residents since Chen Fa Ke's move to Beijing in the 1920's.

Contrary to popular belief, Chenyu has never been taught Chen Zhaopi's frame, he stated that he'd simply seen it so it was very easy after his years of practice in his father's frame. This video was filmed on a very hot day in the summer of 2007.
