@thecowgirlandherhors the cinch should not need to be wrapped more than twice on each side,if a person has to wrap more than twice the cinch is too long.I never had a problem showing with a knot.Like I said it is just a preference. Both ways work. The knot is hidden by the stirrup, so it looks just as smooth as using the holes and keeper. The knot is flat and does not interfere with the stirrup or ringing in anyway. She does an excellent job showing how to tie the knot :-)

@Ponypoor i guess it is :-)but it's a bit to ''thick'' to rap it so many times ,I usually don't rap i more than 1-2 times , but in a competition it look better to have it all smooth and not rapped in a t-tie , right ? ;)

@thecowgirlandherhors different preferences. They knot has never interfered with my riding in over 40 year :-) Personally I feel safer wit the knot. I don't bother with the holes and peg. But to each their own.

Very good video. Hard to find a video that shows how to do the knot (which I prefer to use instead of the holes on the cinch). Thanks for posting this :-)

I put my ''left-over-cinch'' in the safety-keeper , It looks better and I don't have a knot interfeering my riding .

@killiansgirl1 depends on personal taste :) for the most part , i find a lot of western riders call it a cinch , but i usually call it a girth.
@KristinaS100 the western term for a girth is a cinch .
