@wasafogle a lot of times for lighting I'll do a curves adjustment layer and then selectively erase it out (on the masking layer) to soften the effect)...

Great demo got a lot of ideas! found the lighting layer a bit too quick to understand, is it just an empty layer or a colour fill over the image? Puppet warping is boss too
