Carol's Theme
I'm so glad we had this time together, Just to have a laugh, or sing a song. Seems we just got started and before you know it Comes the time we have to say, 'So long.'
There's a time you put aside for dreamin', And a time for things you have to do. The time I love the best is in the evening - I can spend a moment here with you.
When the time comes that I'm feelin lonely, And I'm feelin' ohooooo - so blue, I just sit back and think of you, only, And the Happiness still comes through.
That's why I'm glad we had this time together, 'Cause it makes me feel like I belong. Seems we just got started and before you know it Comes the time we have to say, 'So long.'

I remember my grandad was thought this was outrageous, he loved it as I did. I find it sad how we as a society have left such a wonderful part of our lives behind...... Thank you so very much for the stroll...
Why any of you guys have to bring politics into this nice moment is beyond me. This is one beautiful song. My wife and I have been buying the DVDs and laughing our butts off. Carol's husband wrote this sweet song. It makes me think of my wife. Harvey Korman-RIP. Didn't Harvey just rock?
Pink Floyd sang about having "13 channels of $#!+ on the TV to choose from" back in the 1970s.
We have hundreds of channels today - but as you said, entertainment was FAR better in the 1970s. However, the 7 TV stations we had in Philly went off the air late at night.
I'm 45, which made me 4 weeks shy of my 6th birthday when the '70s started, and almost 16 when it ended.
The only things that stunk was the Southernization of American entertainment in the late 1970s and disco.
We couldn't watch tv during dinner and everyone actually ate at the dinner table at one time as a family. Then my sister and I would have to do the dishes THEN we could watch tv. (after everyone had their baths) When it was the night for her show, everything got done real fast lol.
You know what? A friend of mine brought this song up and after I looked for it and found it here and listened to it, I though the very same thing. I would love to have a clip of some of my life and pictures showed like a slide show and then say my final good byes to this song.
