I need this, as the bees LOVE my house, but I don't have the tools ( drill-bits- etc) to build. Arrrg

Fear of bees?

Really appreciate this video. My wife and I live in the country, carpenter bees are a problem especially around the barn over hang.
Again, thanks!

Great idea Thanks! I have a technical question...what is the purpose of the holes angled up? I angled my holes but unfortunately when I assembled four boxes, the angle in the holes goes downward. Dumb mistake! I can plug the holes and drill new ones if necessary. Thanks!

@caribcottero When the bees make there holes they drill upward to keep water out. The first boxes I built had the holes straight. They seem to catch just as many bees as the others. If I were you I would try it the way you have it.

@CookieTicTacToe Thanks, I looked at the one hanging on the back of my shop and it was full. We don't normaly have them this early. I guess I need to build a few more.

Great video! I've made 3 of these and have been catching Carpenter Bees all summer. We can now enjoy the backyard again!
