u r right bro.i was charged twice for electricity theft brutally regardless the fact that i dont even know how to steal electricity.it is wapda main tool to fine customer illegally and put extra units n bills to cover their losses ........
At present the main problem Pakistan encounters is energy crisis taking Pakistan centuries back regarding industrial development & meeting economic hazards. Rental power projects cost $ 12 billion. UPS +batteries+generators import costs $ 23 billion. Kala Bagh Dam costs $ 7 billion & is capable of producing 6500 mega watt of electricity @ Rs -/60 only. Anti Pakistan lobby is at its best trying to engage our political filth in disputes having no grounds not to let them work out these issues.
Of the 17 Billion payable to the electricity generation companies President Zardari took his share of 7 billion and paid 10 billion to their account. Load shedding has increased to about 16 hrs a day destroying Pakistan economically in each sector. Benazir died with billions of Rs as bank balances in foreign banks but all was left in the banks. Similarly if Zardari thinks of the Rs 7 billion confiscation to put an end to the fire in his grave (if he gets one) he is being misled.
With the arrival of PPP govt fake bills including additional unconsumed units at revised double rates are being issued. Wapda is being looted by govt departments not paying the bills but a common man is being revenged for that. Why? A private consumer if doesnt pay the bills for 3 months gets electricity disconnected. But default govt departments owing huge amount to WAPDA are being revenged by a common man not able to pay the lavish bills of these departments. When will this dogmatism end?
Load Shedding is another source of inflation in Pakistan. If an industry is manufacturing products worth say 1 million Rs per day and 6 hrs of load shedding are faced daily, the industrialist puts this 25% production loss in the price, which a common man has to suffer. The industrialist may not be paying bills or taxes but its eventually the common man who is born to bear all these losses in the shape of inflation. 3 generations have passed since 1947 but this dogmatism is not coming to an end.
