so observing the division of the chromosomes, my question would be, where does the daughter cell get the rest of the missing chromosomes that it didn't procure?
some of the chromosomes get sent into the other cell while the others get sent to one cell doesn't make quite sense because where will the missing chromosomes come from then?
in the mother cell, the chromosomes are replicated in S-phase. from one chromosome, one other is created by the replication process. and one then goes to each cell during the actual M-phase (mitosis)
dre is a diff between MEIOSIS and MITOSIS here v r tokin abr MITOSIS in which de cell divides such dat all de homologous chromosomes divide n dre is no CROSSING OVER takin place as it take place in MEIOSIS in crossing over de a homologous chromosomes will transfer sum of its DNA into another homologous chromosome n will get de same amount frm de same chromosome so dre is no ques of MISSING chromosomes here WELL MY CHARACTER COUNT IS LESS
