Hello everyone!

This is song which I composed during music class and was originally arranged for piano, alto-recorder and bag-pipes.
We were supposed to compose affect-music similar to baroque musicians. My group choose this poem about hope by an unknown author:

"Du bist mein heller Stern,
oh gnadenreiche Hoffnung!
Dem Wunsch zeigst du von fern
vertraut Erfüllung an."

translation:
"You are my bright star
oh, merciful hope!
From far away, you promise intimately
the wish's fulfillment"

I wrote this little tune, while I had my former class teacher in mind. She suffered badly from cancer and everyone was really worried about her. She was such a nice and lively person and our beloved choir-leader. We wanted to record all the songs as a present to cheer her up but she actually passed away some while ago...I will always remember her and I'm really grateful that I was able to sing in her choir for many years. Without her, our school isn't the same anymore...
So please don't forget to be grateful for the little things in your life - we often depreciate them way too much.

Vielen lieben Dank!!! Zum Glück scheint es ihr wirklich schon ein bisschen besser zu gehen *erleichtert* Ihre Chorklassen haben alle ganz viel für sie gemacht! Eine Klasse hat zum Beispiel einen Weihnachtskalender für sie gebastelt! Mit Gedichten und Fotos<3 Das war so eine liebe Idee<3 Mein Kurs hat für sie auch ein großes Plakat gemacht mit Fotos und gemalten (obwohl ich letztendlich diejenige war, die fast alles gemacht hat o.O zum Malen verdonnert XD)
