This is from a performance at Kalakshetra Academy, Chennai, India. The dance is done in the Bharatanatyam style which originated here in the south of India.

  • Hindola my favorite and first thillana i love it. but dancers can not be identified. the girl in red n orange costume is that radha by any chance?

  • 'Kitathakatharikitathom' is the second theermanam adavu (airplane dive with alapadmam). The first being 'thath, dheen, gin-na-thom' which has different hand movements (tripataka). The footwork is the same though, 'thei, thei, dith-thith thei'.

  • what is the name of the step they do from 35 - 42 seconds?
