@Valyn66 I actually guess that this is why quite a few "metalheads" don't like KoRn. Or metal fans in general. I'm getting that often and I believe it's because they do, sound different, than what you'd call "normal".

This, combined with Jonathan Davis, is what made Korn so great. Nobody before them had thought to use guitars this way: Detuned, 7-strings in which the texture of the sound is so much more important than the structure of the sound.

You can't NOT respect a band who departs so far from what was normal. Nu-metal killed grunge and, honestly in my opinion, thank God for it.

@bonesOfChaos You're just learning. So a beginner guitar player can't play scales, that means I should respect the guys who have played scales over and over enough that they get fast at it? I play guitar too.

I think as you get better, you'll start to realize what I mean. The real talent of a good lead guitar is in combining and varying scales. Not just blazing through set patterns, which is what death metal almost universally is.

Well I've been learning the guitar and let me just say playing the scales on guitar fast is not easy. You'll learn to play power chords (which is what this song is mainly) before you'll learn to play a really good solo on the scales. So have some respect for those death metal guitar players.
