The Bush administration is asking Congress to authorize a daring bail-out scheme, involving the buying up of 700 billion US dollars in toxic assets at the heart of a credit-freeze in the financial system.
The rescue package, if approved, will allow Washington to purchase bad mortgage-related assets from US financial institutions over the next two years. But details so far do not specify which institutions qualify, or what, if anything, the government will get in return for this massive infusion.
Meanwhile, members of the Democrat party are pushing for regulations that allow more cash-strapped borrowers to keep their homes, and to draw up pay-out plans based on new limits for executive compensation.

kid, please! The news said "700 Billion", not the "7 Billion"
$700 Billion is $700,000 Million or $700,000,000,000 in case you are not sure.
BTW, kid, $7B is $7,000M and there is no difference between them.

WITH THOSE 7000MILLION <----no billions dommies....<......7000,000,000=7000 millions a 7 billion ist = to 7000,000,000,000,000,000,000
that its a big difference between 7000m and 7B
SO STOP MISLEADING THE PEOPLE with this numbers, now i commnad the goverment to give those 7000 millions that belongs to the people of this country ,to each family on the usa ,it comes around $5000 .instead to give it ,to those bankers that their only job its to steal peoples money.lordhavemercyonyouall
