ok, so because of this movie, 'play mortal kombat with your friend in vietnam' is synonymous in my house with online gaming. when i head off upstairs to play MW2 online, i just tell my wife i'm going to play mortal kombat with my friend in vietnam.

@eizojblpro Hinting us about the future? This movie was made in 1996. The internet was well developed by then and online gaming was available. Granted that Mortal Kombat was not playable on-line at that time, however many PC games were. This was hardly a glimpse into the future. If anything it was stating the (past) present. About 90% of the people on here probably didn't bother with the net till the 00's, and have no idea what a BBS is. N00bs!
