cover of Radiohead's creep, acoustic version

Also check out the band version:

About the tabs, basically G, B, C, Cm, each for two bars and repeating forever.

Before you jump out and claim that I'm fake, please check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sNBKGdmiV0

also here are the answers to some frequently asked questions:

equipment: Washburn D10s guitar, MXL 990 vocal mic, shure 57m mic, art tube mp studio mic preammp

setup: MXL mic for the vocal close to my face, shure mic for the guitar placed a little further away. This way, vocal is close and intimate and guitar has more space in the sound. I'm trying to reproduce the sound in the original recording with my cheap but works well equipment. The tube mic preamp was used for vocal if i remember correctly. I used it as a output protection limiter. I kept getting my voice clipped at "run run run" without the limiter despite my effect to pull away and turn my head away from the mic.

why the big pop filter? To prevent the pop sound of course since my face is so close to the mic.
why the headset? To hear the metronome.

  • what was the point of putting the capo on if you're playing in the same key? only difference is that instead of barring the first chord you just played half the chord....

  • @punisher0113

that's exactly the point. with the capo, I can give my index finger a little rest. doing bar chords non stop for four and half minutes is too much for me.

  • the mic is not faceing toward you're face it would sound better if it was turned the right way

  • @stonesour3366

haha, a lot of people pointed it out recently. I didn't know that was the side of the mic. :)

  • I really like it. I wish I had your recording set up at home. Check out my version on my channel at TheDougBond. Thanks!

  • @TheDougBond

You have a nice deep voice. like it. My setup is not expensive at all. Mic is about 50 bucks (MXL 990). Preamp is about 30 bucks. Also used a Shure sm57 mic for the guitar which is about $100. Guitar is about $350.

  • Your voice has such a unique sound to it. Mystifying, really.

    Very impressive cover.

  • Hey guy, your voice is just so very special ! At the begin, I though than it was Thom York who was singing. ^^'

  • @punisher0113 I'm just thinking for the same thing, and then I saw your comment.. I agree.. Nice sound, but there is no need for capo...

  • Your voice is perfect for this song <3

  • NICE hit on the two high notes!!! Impressive. Don't be shy. Go after it. IGNORE the negative people. There is nothing to gain from conversing with them. Look, you did it. You put it out there. You're not surfing YouTube and spewing hate. You're contributing. Excellent work!
