My slingbox is stuck in a reboot loop after being active for 96 days which means it no longer qualifies for the 90 day "free" phone/chat support from Sling Media. This video shows the behavior of the defective unit (top) and a new unit (bottom) which works perfectly well on the exact same a/v/network cables and power supply. I tried resetting the defective unit multiple times using the procedure posted on the sling website, but no go. I would love to know if there is a way to reflash the unit using the USB interface.
The bottom unit works on the exact same power supply, so that's not it. I've read about the cap issue and that will be next if I decide to crack it open. I have a hard time justifying giving sling any more $ in order to make use of the 1 year warranty.
