Kitesurfing with Dolphins / Kitesurfen mit Delfinen

My awesome kitesurfsession with dolphins during my last vacation trip in Egypt (May 2010).

This video was shot on a GoPro hd (r4 setting) - mounted on a helmet.

Während meines letzten Kitesurfurlaubs in Ägypten im Mai 2010 hatte ich das Glück im Wasser auf Delfine zu treffen. Doppeltes Glück, dass ich genau in dieser Situation meine GoPro HD Kamera am Helm montiert hatte. Ich wünsche euch viel Spaß beim anschauen des Videos - als Binnenlandkiter (Österreich) werde ich diese Session mein Leben lang nicht vergessen :-)

die Cam ist ja am Helm so hatte ich das auch gemacht aber keine so geile Bilder Hast du da ein Weitwinkel drauf? affengeil!!

Incredible video! Is it normal to find dolphins there?

@fuser241 hello & thanks. i have no idea if it's normal. we´ve been there for 17 days and in these days we´ve seen them twice. but every time there were dolphins out in the water the locals went crazy...to me, they didn't seemed to be used to them :)

oohhh that must been incredible. The wind have little to no effect on the water, still you´re going that fast with what I can tell is a 13-14 m2?

That's pretty awesome that you got to ride with dolphins... but how far out are you? Looks like at least a mile from the coast, I hope you had a boat nearby...

i wonder if dolphins are just stupid, to swim with and unidentiefied object like a kiter, wich could be harmfull, or if they are very clever and have studiet kitesurfers, and know that they are friends :)

Holy! Richtig richtig gut! Ich hoffe, dass ich auf den Marshall Islands diese Ferien auch so ein Glück habe. Und ich glaub, so eine Cam werd ich mir dann auch besorgen...

echt schön. ich konnte beim segeln ein paar mal welche am bug anschauen. sehr geschickt, wie sie "blind" umeinander schwimmen können.

das ist ihnen hier ein bisschen schnell. vor lanzarote hatten wir mal gemessen, dass etwas kleinere delfine bis 8 kn noch mithalten konnten, aber nicht lange. :-)
