A bridge was being built in Catbalogan, Samar, Philippines in the summer of 2000. A cofferdam had been constructed. Heavy rains raised the level of the river. As the strong current diverted around the cofferdam, a great deal of soil was eaten away from the riverbank. Several homes toppled into the river. The cofferdam also collapsed. I was told that everyone safely made it out of their homes.
@poolboyinla Thank you. good thing no one was hurt. Too bad it created extra work. Do you live in Catbalogan? I'm curious about the current city status. Is in intact or has it been revoked?
