to tell the truth arrows are actually more effective than bullets. sure bullets go further and faster but theyre usually so hot when they impact that they actualy cauterize shut veins. thus the target doesent bleed as much as if they had been shot by arrow.

@99ACE97 ooh id be careful with that statement, guns were more effective against ARMOUR, but it wasnt stopping power, it was the fact everyone could learn to use them fairly qickly that made them so popular, also, guns were cheaper to manufacture than crossbows, the only other major contender ith the arquebus in terms of armour piercing power

@ivanspajic1 Not to mention a poorly made bullet of that time could break apart on impact and due more widespread damage. Also a arrow can glance of a bone while a bullet will shatter a bone which in turn the bone peices do more damage as well. though still, a arrow looks like it hurts more

@confederatekid3 They only cauterize the blood vessels which the bullet stops near. Not the ones that the bullet passes through. They keep bleeding. But the bullet is short and therefore there is a small pit created in the persons wound. This allows for the sides of that pit to be open, causing massive bleeding. The arrow stick out of a person when they're hit, therefore closes the sides of the pit and stops bleeding.
