  • Haha you are right if you go 70 on I-96 you will get ran off the road

  • Yea I hear you man the Eco is tons of fun and I love it but some of these claims about the MPG I just don't see how they r doing it. In the city I am getting like 12 MPG!!

  • Sorry I meant MPG

  • Yea the ecoboost sucks as far as MPH I been pulling a small 5 by 10 trailer around town and I am getting 9 mpg!

  • That is a good point I did just get back from my summer home which is a little over a 3 hour drive I set the cruse at 79 MPH and I got 16.7 MPG

  • Yes the EcoBoost MPG is not as good as I was hoping I am getting 13 MPH CITY and that is driving the truck very slow

  • I'm curious does GM & Dodge have a display like this in their trucks!?

  • @kalzx

I traded in my 2010 8cyl F150 4x2 Lariat for a 2011 EcoBoost V6 F150 4x4 just before Thanksgiving-- I got better gas milage all the way around with the V8 (15mpg in town)(17mpg hwy) than I am with the EcoBoost (11mpg in town)(15mpg hwy) -- I have always happily driven Ford trucks -- Now I feel like Ford pulled one over on me, big on hoopla and marketing, zilch on delivery of said hoopla and marketing, in short Ford shafted and ripped me off -- Sadly I see I am not alone!!

  • Michigan speed limit is 90 on i-696. Lol.

  • Well I have done a lot to my 98 f150 and I am getting 15-16 city and 22-25 hwy. I would be interested to see what mods this truck could take to increase the mpgs. And for those wondering I have 98 f150 4x4 auto trans 4.6L with 3.55 gear ratio. Mods are efan, underdrive pulley , edge programer , K&N cold air intake and Iridium spark plugs.

  • I just did a video with city MPG and mine is stable at 16mpg all city driving. To be perfectly honest, it rural city where there are open stretches off road sometimes between multiple stoplights, but with that its still 16's in the city. My vehicle's lifetime MPG is currently at 15.5 because its mostly city driving. I don't tow anything and its a short bed and 3.55 axel.

  • has anyone got over 10,000 miles on one of these engines who could let me know if the mileage got any better? A friend of mine has one of these and he is at about 5000 miles and he got about 14.5 mpg pulling a 7500 lb fifth wheel. I got a 2007 silverado and I get about 15 mpg hwy and about 6 mpg towing my fifth wheel that weighs about 6500lbs. Don't want to move to a diesel cause the cost would not be worth it for the amount of towing that I do.

  • @yellowmusicfreak Dude, I own the truck. I have 3.73s. As I said in my first post...if you don't tow. 3.73's are not the gear for getting good gas mileage. And to be honest... who gives a rats ass about fuel economy when you're buying a truck. You want gas mileage go buy squirrel powered Toyota or Nissan.

  • I'm getting the same MPG's as well with my F150 ecoboost... I don't know how these other guys are getting these ridiculous 20+ MPG as average. I figure they are in those flat roads states like Texas and do mostly highway driving. I'm averaging 15MPG city and around 18MPG highway. If I'm lucky, i'll get 16MPG combined. The ecoboost is a eco-ripoff for MPG, but its a lot of fun power wise.
