This video shows why striking is also important, jiu jitsu is a good technique but it is no flawless, it exposes to joint pressure, finger lokcs, wrist locks, eye gauging, and of course to any conceal knife that the opponent could have. If you go to the ground use jiu jitsu but try to never go to the ground, instead finnish it before with boxing , muay thai, taijutsu.

@charlestodd3 in all honesty the only way to see real jiu jitsu is to watch a match because in a fight with a street fighter they fight differently so you can't really get them in a certain position as easy... its just like wrestling a unexperienced wrestler aka FISH!!!! you cant hit the moves you want because he doesn't react or try any techniqe to get out of it he simply flops around

What we have here is an athletic guy who has watched enough UFC or messed around with his friends enough to stay out of trouble on the ground, vs a quick, agressive kid with a modest skill base in jiu jitsu. I applaud these guys for getting in some good training. Going up against a fully resisting opponent is the only way to know where you're at, skill wise. Good stuff.
