  • @IAmMyOwnDrive Thank you, and a high five back at you for the same reasons.

  • @LeapingDodo Well said. Very well said. You are one of the few people on here that can actually debate without insults. High Five for intelligence.

  • @LeapingDodo Dream Theater didn't win a grammy.Never have, as far as I know.

  • For me personally this would be just so much better if it was instrumental. The vocals don't really add anything interesting to the equation IMO. I find myself straining to hear the kick assery underneath and the vocalist is in the way :(

  • @RoflcoptersHigh You better be jesting. ;)

  • @IAmMyOwnDrive It's just a therm of ease, because if you start defining bands like animals as leaders, bulb and periphery you just end up in this "every song has something else but it has always has a djent'sh sound" therefore i just use the therm djent. Just because i am too lazy to figure it out/write the whole thing.

Also, you know what i mean. So if you know what i mean, it should be a valid word in my opinion.

  • @LeapingDodo I don't mean to interfere, or criticize, but I personally don't see "djent" as a genre, but more of a general tone description. I consider Periphery to be more of a Progressive Hardcore band. bands such as Volumes, and Structures would be considered Progressive Deathcore, or something to that effect. Just saying Djent as a genre doesn't sound right to me.

  • @EcuadorFreak As far as i know he has been promoted by dream theater. people who have gotten a grammy in metal. So that brings a lot of attention to him, if he doesn't become a legend with this kind of publicity and helping to raise a genre like djent into public spotlight. Well, i will lose all faith in humanity... again.

  • @LeapingDodo I agree with that to an extent... I'm still not sure if I'd call Misha legend just yet; keep in mind legend is a strong word. Legend means, Ronnie James Dio, James Hetfield, Chuck Shuldiner.

Aside from that, thats not what I said. Misha being a legend and Periphery being legendary are two separate claims. Periphery has its own acclaim and stature, in and of itself, While Misha as a person is a viral video sensation, popular producer, and is involved with at least three projects.

  • @EcuadorFreak Misha worked on the first Animals as Leaders album. He is a legend allready. Check the Animals as Leaders wiki page.
