Peoria Piano Preview March 21, 2009. Warmup for the Old-Time Piano Playing Championship to be held Memorial Day weekend beginning Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Pere Marquette Hotel in Peoria, IL. Ted Lehman is the piano contest founder, master of ceremonies, and leader of the Saturday night sing-along.

Love Letters in the Sand sing-along conducted here by Ted Lehman was first published in 1931 with music by J. Fred Coots and lyrics by Nick Kenny and Charles Kenny. The song was based on a 1881 composition, The Spanish Cavalier and was a big 1957 hit for Pat Boone.
